Howdy men,
I wanted to give you a heads up about a new men’s Bible Study session that we will begin on Tuesday, September 14th. This will be a study on David, using the book After God’s Own Heart, by Mark Boda. The book shows the relevance of the life of David to Christian believers today and challenges believers to pursue God as David, the man after God's own heart. The study will examine the life of David, showing how the Old Testament king relates to anointing, covenant, the temple, and sin. But ultimately, the author shows how David pictures the Messiah to come. We are also blessed to have Pastor Jim participating in our study and providing his insight and expertise!
We would like to invite you to prayerfully consider joining us for this study. If you have thought about doing a men’s study, but were concerned about coming in part way thru a study, then this a great time to come check it out! Come join us for study, fellowship, and prayer with other Christian men. And please, invite other men (family, friends, neighbors, etc.) to join us as well! We hope to see you.
Tuesday Evenings 6:30 – 7:30pm
Starting 9/14
Please contact Dan Kusnierz 379-2660 for more info.
* It would be helpful if you could let me know ASAP if you plan to participate so that we can order enough books!
I would also like to let you know about a men’s ministry event that will be taking place on October 16th. There will be a Iron Sharpen’s Iron conference at the Faith Evangelical Free Church at 250 Kennedy Memorial Drive, Waterville , ME. The event is for men age 13 and older. This is a good opportunity to participate in a large Christian Men’s conference with nationally renowned speakers without having to travel too far. We are fortunate that this event is taking place so close to home, as they are often in NH, CT, or MA. Guest speakers include Bill Perkins (President and founder of Million Mighty Men) and Dan Erickson (co-founder of People Matter Ministries). For more information see the posters that I will post on the bulletin board, or visit (http://www.ironsharpensiron.net/conference-details.php?conference=18;).
Grace and peace,
Dan Kusnierz
