The Impact of the Global Impact Celebration
from Pastor Jim
The excitement built as the people gathered. We were seeking to further the work of our "inside out church" through the Global Impaxt Celebration the last weekend in September. People who are serving others in God's name in Corinth, Bangor, throughout Maine, the USA and the world gathered under one roof for one purpose-to make known in Word and Deed the God who loves us to all whom God loves. Missionaries shared with other missionaries. People who prepared others for service saw the fruit of their labor. Children and youth listened and helped. the people of the church got to learn from and encourage those on the front lines of building God's Kingdom. Some got inspired to go to the front lines. Others were motivated to be part of the support teams. It was a moving, inspiring, exciting, life-changing time!
There are a great number of people to thank for their part in making the weekend happen, more we can even name. The team gathered under the leadership of Pastor Cindy, Chris McCorrison, Lisa Thompson and the Missin Committee did tremendous work and each one is to be commended. I am so glad my toga got caught up in the spokes of God's chariot as it was passing this way!
Pray for each of the ministries who were present, and pray that we will fulfukll the promise of this weekend in the unfolding life of our church. To God be the glory, great things he has done, and will yet do!
